Patent Law
- He has for many years provided legal counsel and representation for clients on patent law in the area of electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, software development and mechanical engineering, specifically in the area of domestic appliances, electrical drive systems, photovoltaics, process measuring technology and laboratory automation.
- Development of IP protection strategies, preparation and registration of IP rights, handling of patent granting proceedings at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and the European Patent Office. Handling and coordinating of patent granting proceedings abroad.
- Representation in a number of opposition proceedings in Germany and Europe.
- Experience in handling out-of-court patent disputes and settlement negotiations and cooperates with German and foreign attorneys on patent disputes in German and European courts.

Trademark Law
- Legal counsel and representation in conjunction with the application for trademarks as well as in the registration procedure at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office and at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Professional Involvement
Jörg Baumann has been training patent attorney candidates in Baden-Württemberg for many years. He is also a former member of the examination committee for patent attorneys at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office.
